HAVE A MINISTRY IDEA? WANT SOME HELP STARTING IT OR NEED SOME SUPPORT?

We would like to thank you for your interest in developing a new microchurch or joining the leadership team of an existing one. It is appropriate that you know in advance that part of this process includes assessing whether or not you might qualify as a microchurch leader. The Bible offers certain requirements for leaders, such as those found in 1 Timothy and Titus. When we review the various biblical passages on the qualifications of a leader, it is important to note that approximately two-thirds of them are character qualifications and one-third functional qualifications (how well can you do the job). Therefore, the lead elders of Jubilee will take your character development as well as ministry experience into consideration when making this decision.

Here are the steps to take if you want to Start Something:

Step 1: Join an existing microchurch.

Step 2: Discern an idea for a new microchurch or the desire to lead on the leadership team of your microchurch.

Step 3: Share your idea with your current microchurch leaders and request to start Leadership Formation.

Step 4: Agree to the Covenant, complete the Basic Discipleship Plan, and meet with your coach.

Step 5: Begin Leadership Formation modules. At this point you are a leader-in-training.

Step 6: Begin to develop a new microchurch (or lead with your current microchurch leadership team), complete 9/11 modules, and meet with the Jubilee lead-elders for interview and encouragement.

Step 7: A date will be set where a Jubilee lead-elder will publicly recognize you as a microchurch leader and pray for you during a Sunday Gathering.
